Charitable golfers swing into action for Dolphin Coast Warriors

Funds raised from the golf day will go towards resident struggling for basic needs.

Positive energy filled Umhlali Country Club on Wednesday as golfers teed off at a charity golf day hosted by the Dolphin Coast Warriors.

Member Hannelie van der Walt said the group was overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown throughout the event.

Johan Coetzee, Vincent De Beer, Dirk Kriel and Enrico Jansen van Rensburg.

“We received many donations from both businesses and private individuals. Sponsors also contributed vouchers and prizes for the golfers who played during the day,” she said.

Van der Walt expressed gratitude for every contribution and thanked the sponsors who helped make the day a success.

Tracy Raison, Sue Conlan, Lynne Rostance and Jackie Di Nicola.

All funds raised will go towards supporting local families and residents struggling to meet basic needs.

“The money raised during this golf day will go directly to families or individuals in the community who are in dire straits and need assistance to survive,” she said.

The organisation uses a screening process to identify those most in need. Instead of distributing cash, they provide food, clothing and other essentials, particularly focusing on children and the elderly.

Greg Bishop, Vincent Regaud, Lloyd Letard and Ronnie Maritz.

“Our main goal is to assist families in such a way that they can eventually recover to a point where they are able to help themselves and others,” said van der Walt.

She also extended thanks to everyone who contributed their time or resources.
