New York junior squash players train in Ballito

Three US teens made the long trip.

Three promising New York squash players recently travelled to Ballito for training and some local sightseeing.

Former South African squash player Adel Weir-Sammons, who now coaches in the US, made the trip with Sophie Haines (16), Eliza Haines (13) and Margaret Rowland (15). They first visited Pretoria to compete in the Centurion Dunlop Junior Open, where Sophie and Eliza both finished fourth in their divisions and Margaret claimed fifth place.

They then enjoyed some time in Ballito, where they had a coaching session at Salt Rock Country Club with Terry-Shayne Nagel.
