Comedian Lisa Bobbert will have guests in stitches at Vision 153’s annual fund raiser on Friday, October 11.
The Bobbertlicious event will be held at Collisheen Estate, and promises to be a fun filled evening, with a dash of attitude.
This will be the second fund raiser the non-profit has had since its birth in 2009.
Vision 153 was the brainchild of Linda Primmer and her son Roy. Linda had a tough childhood and had supported her four siblings by herself. She also had to raise her son alone after she was widowed.
“She understands the hardships of impoverished people and the project was birthed from the passion of her heart,” said Roy.
Vision currently supports a number of families and orphans in Groutville, Etete, Shakashead and Verulam.
They hope to build a village that supports families and orphans who cannot survive without help from non-profit organisations.
The Bobbertlicious evening provides another opportunity for the wider community to help the needy. Tickets are R250 per person and include a three course meal and entertainment.
