Other people’s addiction at my cost

I refer to opinions on banning smoking in public areas, expressed on your Social Media page. Many people are confusing apples and pears and started ranting irrationally about other problems.
Denis Black and Karin Hoehler don’t understand that there are also laws for robbery, rape and murder. How Sergio Messi thinks smokers are being blatantly discriminated against is beyond comprehension – they are the people causing the stink, irritation and serious health problems including cancer and other diseases associated with passive smoking. He obviously couldn’t care two hoots as long as he is satisfying his addiction at my expense. The day of the smoker is over, Sergio.
Smokers do not have rights. They have choices. They are inconsiderate. As Linda Parker correctly stated – banning is long overdue and it will be enforced. Contact the National Council against Smoking for accurate figures and logic.
To get smoking into perspective, let me remind you that smoking costs the country far more than  drinking problems. Fact. However, I am also concerned about our crime – it would be admirable if you did something practical about it like joining a local crime policing forum etc. But those problems have nothing to do with smoking. Don’t be a hypocrite.
