The Ballito exhibition and events centre is scheduled to launch in early March. This brings us back to the Scout Hall in Townsend Park which will now be virtually redundant. Whatever funds that were to be spent on the Scout Hall should be diverted to the building of a taxi rank.
We are tired of this total embarrassment literally in the heart of our town where shootings have taken place and people killed.
This illegal rank must be moved as soon as possible. It is a miracle that no one has been killed as people cross at will to the rank.
The Taxi Association, having ignored the law by creating this illegal taxi rank should keep it clean. That is too much to ask as always it is littered with papers etc and to top it, vendors are illegally selling their produce.
The ratepayers will be immensely pleased with the KD Municipality should they embark on this project without further ado.
