Trevor Noah to host The Daily Show
South Africa's much loved comedian announced as Jon Stewart's successor.

South Africa’s own comedian, Trevor Noah, has been announced as the new host of the American late night program, The Daily Show.
Noah, who made his debut on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart three months ago, immediately grabbed the attention of the producers and the audience.
He will host the show after Jon Stewart announced in February that he will be stepping down.
The New York Times spoke to Noah, who is currently in Dubai for a leg of his comedy tour, and he said to the newspaper that it took a few hours for the news to sink in.
Social media was abuzz with the news:
If you make it on New York Times and Time on the same day and you haven’t killed anyone or died, you’ve made it in this life. @Trevornoah
Well done @Trevornoah – You’re helping a lot of sad South Africans get over the Cricket World Cup. :)
‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’. Yes that’s a thing. Phenomenal achievement by an incredibly hard working and talented individual.
