Five things to do this weekend in Ballito
If you do not have any plans for the weekend, we are here to help you out!
1. Litchi Orchard Night Market

Friday night it is time for the Litchi Orchard’s Night Market again!
This is always an end-of-month fun event to look forward to.
Tonight live acts Dani and Qadasi and Maqhinga will be on stage to provide the entertainment while there will be more than enough food, wine and local creations on sale.
2. Skating at the Mamba Skate Park

If there is a lack of swell for the surfers or you just want to get out of the house, grab a board and go skating at the Mamba Skate Park in Salt Rock.
They recently got spotlights for the track so even when the sun sets the skating can go on!
They are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 5pm.
3. Wake skating at La Mercy Lagoon

The Puppet Masters wake skating event will be held at La Mercy Lagoon near Umdloti on Saturday, April 25 from 11am to 3pm.
This event is the next installment in what already has been set as the benchmark for wake skating in South Africa and will feature some of SA’s best talent such as Matti Buys, Kaylib Louw, Troy Allers and Darren Turner to name a few.
These riders will all be shredding against each other in 45 minute jam style sessions to win the R8 000 prize purse and be crowned champion.
The course has been reshaped and improved to provide some real excitement for the crowd and riders alike.
4. Majozi at Ciao Bella

So this is not happening in Ballito but Salt Rock’s own Majozi will be performing at Ciao Bella Café in Durban on Friday evening to end his tour to launch his new EP, Mountains.
Entrance is R60 and doors open at 7pm.
Pizza Slices will be on sale on a first come, first serve basis.
There will be parking at uShaka’s Parking A, located about 50 metres from Ciao Bella Café.
5. Dave Barr talk

Former American professional soldier, Dave Barr, lost both his legs after stepping on a landmine and he is coming to Umhlali All Souls Anglican Church, Salt Rock this Saturday at 6pm, as part of the Chutzpah adventure, which sees them riding 6000 km across South Africa on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
To see this legend in action this Saturday, contact Grant Fowlds on 083 264 1978, Emeric Pilz on 083 301 4721 or the Anglican Church on 032-5254529 for tickets, selling at R80. Funds are going to Project Rhino and Quadriplegic Association South Africa.
