Five things to do this weekend on the Dolphin Coast
An interesting mix of things happening this weekend.
1. Foodies unite

For delicious goodies to eat visit the Foodies Market at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre just outside Zara’s on the first Saturday of every month.
Everything from artisan breads, cupcakes, coffee and biltong to fresh lemonade, pâtés and sauces are available for sale.
2. Kuchipudi Dance Troupe in Tongaat

The Shree Veeraboga Emperumal Temple in partnership with the Consulate General of India, will be hosting a concert and gala dinner featuring the Kuchipudi Dance Troupe from Andra Pradesh, India.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 6 at the SVET Cultural Centre, Gandhi’s Hill, Tongaat at 6.30pm.
On the programme India trained KZN music maestro, Thirupurasundarie Govender will be featured.
3. Walking 5km for fun

Illovo Sugar Sezela Ladies committee will host a 5km fun walk to raise funds for Ifafa Orphanage feeding scheme and Khaya Hospice.
The walk is on June 6 at the Sezela Country Club.
It will start at 7.30am and registration at 6.30am.
Entrance fee is R30 per person.

4. Helping pupils with accounting

Free accounting tuition will be held on Saturday, June 6 at the Vedanta Ashram in Tongaat from 1pm to 4pm.
Pupils are requested to report to the venue 15 minutes early.
Maths, physics and accounting will be held in August at the same venue.
5. Creating awareness for Child Protection Week

The Breakthrough Centre together with the KwaDukuza Social Development department and various stakeholders will be hosting a Child Protection Week Programme on Saturday, June 6 at Breakthrough Centre in Etete.
Local schools have been invited to participate by sending 10 pupils to represent their school.
Face painting will commence at 8am, and the march through Etete will start at 9.30am.
The programme will be aimed at creating awareness about the rights of children and the need for society to protect them.
