Potjiekos for all!
Ballito Gesinskerk host another successful potjiekos cook-off.
The Ballito Gesinskerk, NG gemeente, Noordkus, hosted their annual potjiekos competition and fete on Saturday morning, August 8 at the church grounds.
Proceeds from this annual fundraising event go towards improving the lives of the elderly at Tuinsig Tehuis.
Altus Fourie’s potjie impressed the judges most and he walked away with first prize. In second and third places were Rocco Meiring and the Kaspaas potjie team. Not to be outdone by the adults, the junior potjiekos competition was won by Wilru de Vries and Charl Erasmus.
“The day was a resounding success and both young and old enjoyed themselves,” said the church’s Leonie Spangenberg.
