1. Dolphin Coast Challenge

KZN single and double surf ski champs are taking place this weekend. On Saturday the singles will launch at Salt Rock at 8am, finishing at Zinkwazi and on Sunday the doubles will start at Zinkwazi around 11am and finish at Salt Rock.

2. Story telling

The KZN department of arts and culture and Africa Ignite present telling stories of KwaZulu-Natal at the Ballito Library from August 18 to 22.

The programme includes story telling performances, reading and a writing corner, songs and games.

School groups can also be accommodated.

3. Sterilisation project in Etete

Two local NPOs, Furever Pet Rescue and Animally Haven, have partnered with various local businesses to launch the first pet sterilisation project on Sunday, August 23 at the community hall in Etete.

Residents have to bring their dogs to register.

Each registrant will be given a packet of dry pet food and information.

The vets on site will treat the animal for mange if required, give them a vaccination shot and de-worming tablet.

If healthy enough, females will be sterilised.

4. Yoga and pilates in Umdloti

On Saturday morning 7am to 8am you can strengthen the core muscles with pure form pilates on the beach in Umdloti.

Focussing on your pelvic floor muscles and activating your core by breathing. It helps improve posture, balance, flexibility and strength. R 100 per person. Bring a beach towel and lots of weekend energy. Book on Friday at 0761805315.
