Five things to do this weekend on the Dolphin Coast

1. Shopping in spring

The Litchi Orchard spring night market takes place on Friday, from 5pm to 9pm.

Entrance is R30 while the kiddies under five go for mahala.

If you are not going for all the lip-smacking food and treats, then definitely go for the live music by Gavin Ferguson and Whisky Thief.

2. Ballito Strawberry Festival

For the first time, North Coast residents and visitors from all over will come down to Ballito on Saturday and experience a day filled with strawberries, food, music and fun.

There will be strawberry picking, wine and strawberry pairing, strawberry art, delicious food stalls, a beer tent with a special strawberry beer, live music and the rugby on a big screen!

Festivities start at 8am.

3. Umhlali Village market

In the streets of this quaint village, you will find local produce, good food and anything you might need in your home.

It starts at 9am on Saturday.

4. Medical camp in Tongaat

The Vedanta Institute SA will host a free medical camp at Trubel Primary School, Belvedere, Tongaat on Sunday, September 27 from 8am to 12.30pm. Only 300 patients will be taken.

5. Donate blood, save a life

The South African National Blood Services will be hosting a blood clinic on September 27 at Shakaskraal Shree Emperumal Temple Hall.

It will start at 10am to 2pm.
