Walking up the stairs of the revamped Litchi Orchard last Thursday night, transported you into a deliciously romantic world of fairy lights and hand made treats.
The rustic-chic market invited friends and family to celebrate the official launch of their new artisan avenue and they did it in a truly unique Salt Rock style.
Welcomed with a glass of bubbly mixed with a scoop of strawberry sorbet, people mingled and meandered through the lovingly created shops.
Baskets of mini mouth-watering pies swept through the crowd, followed by trays of tempura prawns, bruschetta and rich, creamy chocolate ice cream.
The artisan avenue tour takes you on a delectable journey, starting with Yoli’s Artisan Breads and Pastries, followed by beautifully decorated sweet mouthfuls at Lemon Canary.
Next stop is Scoop, offering refreshing hand made ice cream in the most interesting flavours.
Finally, feast your eyes on gorgeous decor and plump proteas at Love Laugh.
The Litchi Orchard’s Jeremy Eb said he was so grateful for the community’s support, because without them, The Litchi Orchard would not have become what it is today.
The night ended with a slice of the most decadent cake accompanied by a good dose of laughter and a toast to many more evenings among the litchi trees.
So, visit the artisan avenue and make sure to leave with some bread under your arm, a box of cupcakes, a scoop of ice cream and a bunch of proteas.
