Fresh trends at the good food and wine show

A visit to the Good Food and Wine Show will reawaken your senses and reignite your passion for cooking.

The Durban Good Food and Wine Show takes place from October 28 – 30 at its usual haunt, the Durban Exhibition Centre.

From celebrity chef cooking demonstrations to food and wine  tastings and kids’ workshops, there is something to interest everyone.

The show is a vibrant mix of about 150 exhibitors showcasing their latest in products, product innovation, what’s trending in food and beverages, lifestyle home gadgets and appliances, food and drink stands.

A visit to the Good Food and Wine Show will reawaken your senses and reignite your passion for cooking, as you embark on a tasteful journey of wine, craft beer, decadent cakes, sweets and delicious food.

Spend the morning sampling olive oils, chocolates, wines, beer, whiskey and more.

It’s Africa’s largest culinary event, and it launches with the theme, “fresh”.

It’s all about the prevailing global obsession with sustainability and a healthier planet, and it’s inspired by the global trend for urban farming and the gradual urbanisation of rural contexts.

Celeb chefs to look forward to include Australia’s George Calombaris, well-known around the globe as one of the judges of the popular TV show MasterChef Australia.

Calombaris will be joined by Siba Mtongana, Jenny Morris, Sarah Graham, Neill Anthony and J’Something.

This year’s show will be divided into zones: wellness, lifestyle, wine, market and street food, beer and alcohol, gourmet, baking and an area for children.
