As this year draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of Ashton International College, to express our sincere appreciation for sharing our news throughout the year. Whether it was academic, sport or cultural we were able to share these highlights with the community through your newspaper.
As many people may not understand, schools are not big corporates that have unlimited advertising budgets, and therefore we are dependent on our local newspaper who may sometimes only have one page for School News and yet manage to serve all the schools in the area.
During this year, Ashton was proud to be part of the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund Soup and Sox drive, as well as the opportunity for two of our matric boys to help Pieter with the distribution of some of these winter warmers – for them it was a humbling experience and for us, we witnessed the joy that you bring to these orphans.
Lastly a huge shout out to our Dolphin Coast Community for their continued contribution to the success of our school, however big or small. The opportunity we had to host the Rotary Mass Choir Festival, Lifestyle for their phenomenal sports sponsorship, sharing the talents of our students during the stage production of Wizard of Oz and being able to spread Christmas cheer at our Carol Service. May you all have a Blessed Christmas and enjoy family time on our beautiful Dolphin Coast.
