Street Party kicks off with a bang

This year's slightly smaller party reduced crowding.

About 5000 people poured into Ballito on Saturday night for the annual New Year’s Eve street party in downtown Ballito.

The partygoers celebrated the New Year with awesome DJ’s on show – dancing, gyrating and sweating their way into 2017 beneath the strobing lights.

The artists who performed included TiMO ODV, Bhavs, Ameeth Shah, KAYDEE, LA Cruz, Ty Stolz, KDC, Ty Cambell, Russ Whitely and Austin Cassim.

Marketing director for G & G Productions Devore said they intentionally hosted a slightly smaller party this year to reduce crowding.

“It was a great event,” said Devore.

“This year we were very happy that there was not a single incident during the party and overwhelmingly positive feedback online.”

Devore expressed his thanks to KwaDukuza municipality and the people of Ballito for their support of this event and for making it a success.
