A flower festival and more on the Coast this weekend
From a comedy night at Summerhill House, to a 5km fun run/walk, here is a list of exciting events to look forwards to on the Dolphin Coast this weekend!

Friday, October 20
- Get ready for a spiritual display of fauna and flora at the The Hallelujah Flower Festival taking place at the All Souls Anglican Church in Umhlali from October 20 to 22. The church’s eighth flower festival has been organised by the remarkable 91-year-old Rosemary Ladlau and her daughter Jane Matkovich. The event will run from 10am – 4.30pm on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday 10.30am – 4.30pm. Contact Jane Matkovich at 082 827 7317.

Saturday, October 21
- Book now for a family day away at the WFO enduro ride in Weenen at The Owl and Elephant. There will be a flea market and plenty of fun activities for the kids. Contact WFO Secretary Evonne Gallet at 082 713 7566 (messages only 8am to 4.30pm, calls 4.30pm to 8.30pm).

- Every Saturday morning Forest Hills German Shepherd Club Ballito holds dog training for all breeds at Townsend park, Ballito. Times are as follows: 8am advanced; 9.45am beginners. Contact chairperson Gaby Lyle on 082 925 6481.

- Head down to Sugar Rush Park every Saturday for the Sugar Rush Market from 7.30-noon. Browse through fresh, home made, hand made, local and organically produced products to support our local growing and developing area. Contact Gill at gill@sugarrush.co.za
Sunday, October 22
Tongaat Panthers Athletics club, Arysta LifeScience and the department of Sports and Recreation will host a 5km Community Fun Run/Walk at the Outspan Ground in Tongaat at 8am. Kids can look forward to meeting the Oros Man and receiving Oros hampers. Entries cost R10 and can be bought at Bhugwan’s Extension, Main Road Tongaat, Flambel Primary, temples, churches and senior citizen groups.
