A Christmas Street Market and more on the Coast this weekend
From Christmas markets to beach volleyball, there is so much on the go this weekend!

Friday, December 1
- Nirasha Bodasing from Indigo Food Studios will be whipping up some nice eats and lots of Christmas sides to cope with Durban’s fiery summer at Hirsch’s Ballito at 10 am. RSVP to shane@hirschs.co.za or 032- 9467400.

Saturday, December 2
- The SPCA Dog Box volunteers will be holding their annual Christmas Street Market in Jack Powell Rd, behind the Boulevard, from 9am to 11.30am.

- Visit the Saturday Car Boot Sale in Ballito on the first Saturday of every month for locally made products, knick-knacks, pancakes and second hand items at great prices. Go to the open ground on the corner of Simbithi and Leonora Drive (next to the Ballito clinic). Call 083 780 1953 or email brenda@ghekkoevents.co.za.
- Don’t miss the LIV Village Christmas celebration at 9am for 9.30am. You can look forward to crafts, music and food.

- Head down to Sugar Rush Park every Saturday for the Sugar Rush Market from 7.30-noon. Browse through fresh, home made, hand made, local and organically produced products to support our local growing and developing area. Contact Gill at gill@sugarrush.co.za.
- Every Saturday morning Forest Hills German Shepherd Club Ballito holds dog training for all breeds at Townsend park, Ballito. Times are as follows: 8am advanced; 9.45am beginners. Contact chairperson Gaby Lyle on 082 925 6481.

Sunday, December 3
- The annual party for underprivileged children will be held at the Vedanta Ashram, 65 Genazzano Road, Seatides at 10am. You are welcome to contribute to the trust fund or you may buy items and deliver to them. Appeal for school clothes, new or used but in good condition, which should be washed, ironed and packed in sizes for distribution. - Beach volleyball at Salmon Bay, Ballito from 11 till 3pm. R50 per person. Fundraiser for Furever Pet Rescue. After party at Concha bakery and café at 3pm. Email cherylherda@gmail.com or visit www.fureverpetrescue. com.
