A fishing fun day and more on the Coast this weekend
From carols on the deck, to the crowning of Miss and Mr Dolphin Coast - there is so much on the go this weekend!

Friday, December 15
- Carols on the Deck at Linc Church in Salt Rock at 5pm. Carols. Great Local food vendors. KIDZ corner. Bring your friends and family.

- They say it is the season to be jolly, and jolly is what Lifestyle Centre plans to be over the December and January summer holidays. From 15 – 24 December, Father Christmas and his elves will be entertaining the little guests between Lifestyle SUPERSPAR and Chateau Gateaux, while face painters, stilt walkers and balloon sculptors will be sure to entertain young and old alike alongside four free gift wrapping stations around the centre. The centre’s trading hours will be extended to 8am – 8pm for the period 15 – 30 December, with anchor tenant Lifestyle SUPERSPAR opening 7am – 9pm, 8 – 30 December, including all public.

- Head down to the Ballito Junction Regional Mall from now until the end of December for a wide range of exciting activities and Christmas themed events for the whole family! 8 – 24 December, 10 – 7pm – Take a picture with Santa! 14 – 23 December, 11am & 2pm – Fabulous live entertainment with daily family shows.

- The Holiday Express train ride experience for the whole family will take you and your family for a fun family-oriented one-day train trip from the Premier Lounge, Durban Station. The train ride to the Shongweni Farmers & Craft Market will depart at 1pm.
Saturday, December 16
- Don’t miss the crowning of Miss and Mr Dolphin Coast 2018 at the Ballito Junction Regional Mall at 11 am. Call 032-5861130.

- Come and have your photo taken with Santa at Tiffany’s Centre in Salt Rock between 10am and 1pm! There will also be an array of kids activities, candyfloss and popcorn, stilt walkers, jugglers, face paint and arts and crafts. You can also enjoy live entertainment by local singer Cliff Horn. Don’t miss out!
- Westbrook Methodist Church Carols by Candlelight service at 6pm at Westbrook (just off the M4) and Christmas Market at 11.30 am. There will be music, food and entertainment for the kids. Contact Roy Dowley at 032-9415458/064 238 5775 or Maggie Ranchod at 082 741 1269.

Sunday, December 17
- It’s time to dust off those fishing rods, get your braai and picnic blanket ready and sharpen up the Sherlock Holmes in you. The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund and Trappers Ballito will be hosting a family day with a treasure hunt at the Dudley Pringle dam on Sunday, December 17. The event will give the fisherman a rare opportunity to test their skills in what is widely considered to be one of the best bass fishing dams in KZN (with other species like tilapia and catfish also plentiful).
