Five kids activities for the holidays in Ballito

Now that all the Easter bunny hugging and chocolate egg hunting is over, check out these five ways to keep the kids entertained and the boring bug at bay.

1. Jumping joys

The Jump Park

Let the kids jump out their Sugar Rush at The Jump Park while the parents can enjoy some coffee, go for a cycle or a mani/pedi if jumping is not your thing.

Price: Children under five years old pay R80. Over five years old, including adults, pay R120 for two hours. Sessions start every hour, on the hour.

22 Jump Street

Pop over to the Ballito Junction and drop off the kids at 22 Jump Street where they will be entertained and active, while the parents can enjoy some retail therapy or a delicious coffee in a cone at Holy Cow Coffee while watching the  bouncing.

Price: R125 with special grip socks for an hour.

2.Meet the furries

Feathers and Furballs

Sugar Rush Park’s new petting zoo is a loving home for rescue animals and the perfect spot to make furry friends. Make sure to visit their newest family members, a rescued Egyptian goose called Chicken, who loves to snuggle and their recently hatched chicks. Learn how to take care of animals and find out what they eat and love.

Price: R10 for adults, R30 for kids – all ages welcome.

Flag Animal Farm

Set in Sheffield Beach off the P228 road is the fun-packed Flag Animal Farm that will keep you and your children entertained with animal interaction shows and tractor, train and pony rides.

Feed the goats, hold a snake and meet the wolves.

Price: R44 per person including the interaction shows – babies U18 months are free.  Tractor, train and pony rides cost an additional R12.

3. Golfing for juniors

Putt Putt and paddle 

Sugar Rush Putt Putt is a 2000 sqm, full 18-hole course with paddling pools, water fountains, waterfalls, beaches, island greens, ramps and tunnels. It is a fun challenge for all ages and kids will have a great time paddling after their ball in the pools.

Price: U12 and pensioners R60, teenagers R70 and adults R90.

4.  Zipline, slide and climb

Club Venture

For the adventure lovers, go visit Club Venture and choose between their flying zipline tours or their 70 meter long waterslide.

Price: Catch the current Zipline special offer: R 399,00 p/p for adults and R 369,00 p/p for kids under 12. The rates include two beverages, a snack pack and a certificate on completion.

Fig Tree
