Live music, rugby and more on the Dolphin Coast this weekend

Friday, May 11

  • Enjoy live music at The Market at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. Michaela Rajoo will be performing from 3pm – 5pm, followed by Rob Stories from 5.30pm – 7.30pm.
  • Ashton International Senior College presents Aladdin at the Grace Hall at 6pm. Tickets available at Ashton from Jeannie Habig or Phyllis Swanepoel. Adults R80, children R50 and pensioners R50.

  • That 80’s Show will transport you back to a time when synthesizer music, energetic anthems and incredible voices rocked our world. This power house show features a rocking 10 piece cast where it’s all about the music. The show starts at 8pm at the Rockwood Theatre Sibaya.

Saturday, May 12

  • Every Saturday morning Forest Hills German Shepherd Club Ballito holds dog training for all breeds at Townsend park, Ballito. Times are as follows: 7:50am advanced; 8.30am beginners. Contact chairperson Gaby Lyle on 082 925 6481.

  • Enjoy live music at The Market at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. Catch Liam Paul on piano from 9am – 11am, followed by The Kickstands from 12pm – 2pm and James Freedom from 2.30pm – 4.30pm. Steve Graham will end things off with his set from 5pm – 8pm.
  • Enjoy a feast of local produce and creativity at the Autumn Makers Market at the Litchi Orchard. Live entertainment sets the mood and crafts are also on sale. Fun for the whole family! Entry is free.

 

  • The Ballito Dolphins hockey girls are taking part in a practice match against Ashton International College Ballito at 10.45am at the Ashton AstroTurf. All Dolphins supporters, friends and family are invited to attend and support the newly formed hockey team.
  • There is lots of rugby on offer this weekend at Sugar Rush Park, home of the Ballito Dolphins. The senior teams are playing against Durban Mets, with kick-off from 2pm. Come and join the fun! Bar and food available. Bring a chair with you and sit back and support your local team and enjoy the entertainment.

Sunday, May 13

  • The Ballito Dolphins Rugby Club Juniors are hosting the DRSU Junior League from 8am with nine clubs competing. Come and join the fun! Bar and food available. Bring a chair with you and sit back and support your local teams and enjoy the entertainment.
  • Enjoy live music at The Market at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. Enjoy tunes by Take Note from 10am – 12pm, followed by Ross Charles from 1pm – 3.30pm.
  • The Dolphin Coast Conservancy will hold a general meeting at 5.30pm at the Striders Clubhouse, Ballito. All are welcome to attend the meeting and social get-together afterwards. Contact Maureen at 072 519 8721.
