Father’s Day festivities on the Coast this weekend

From the Holla Sugar Rush Classic, to a jazzy treat for dad this Father’s Day. There is so much to look forward to this weekend!

Saturday, 16 June (Youth Day)

  • Join the IPSS Medical Rescue Team from 10am to donate blood. Visit them at unit 7, WOW Business Park, 2 Gourly Road, Corner of Ballito Drive. You Don’t Have to be a Paramedic to Save a Life.

  • Gear up for the biggest Mountain Bike Race proudly fuelled by Landrover Ballito. All MTB fanatics are invited to join the 2018 Holla Sugar Rush Classic held on the 16th and 17th June 2018. Families are welcome as there will be a kiddies race held on Saturday and the MTB classic to be held on Sunday. Ales for Tails will be hosting a 2 day Craft Beer and Gin festival with live music setting the atmosphere.
  • Enjoy live music at The Market at Lifestyle Centre, Ballito. Shamon Daniels will be performing from 5.30pm – 8.30pm.

Sunday, 17 June (Father’s Day)

  • Spoil dad with a delicious lunch while listening to the soulful sounds of the all-female jazz band Heels Over Head, at Ballito’s Sound Café from 12pm. This special Father’s Day treat will also give back to those who do not have dads as 40 percent of the ticket sales will be donated to the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.

  • Fuel dad’s superpowers this Father’s Day with a supersized feast at Rain Farm Game Lodge. On arrival, dad will be treated to a cheeky complimentary sherry to warm him up, while enjoying a biltong snack pack. This will be followed by a delicious buffet braai – after all, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
