For the love of furries

Old North at Karibu owner Diane Duncan said this was the first fundraiser for the nokill shelter Animally Haven near Glendale.

Rescued dogs enjoyed the winter sun with their families while raising funds for furries who are still looking for their forever homes at Old North at Karibu last Saturday.

Old North at Karibu owner Diane Duncan said this was the first fundraiser for the nokill shelter Animally Haven near Glendale.

Hannah was a rescue dog who now has a wonderful home with Andrew Trollip.

“This is just our way of trying to help Gianna continue her amazing work with the animals at Animally Haven. There are always vet bills and food costs coming her way and we hope to run this fundraiser on a monthly basis to keep raising funds to pay those bills,” said Duncan.

“Our customers have been donating money and one lady – Tammy King – even donated a kennel. We will also give a portion of our breakfast sales to Animally Haven.”

Little Shadow loves his mom Pauline Trollip who adopted him recently.

Gianna Scoulelis said she is grateful to Duncan for the kind gesture.

“Thank you to Diane, Pauline and Karibu for this amazing idea. I hope we will get more support month after month,” said Scoulelis.

Keep an eye on the Old North at Karibu Facebook page to see when their next fundraiser day will be.
