Friday, August 31

  • In association with Concerts SA, iSupport Music Business presents renowned saxophone players, The Khaya Mahlangu and Salim Washington Quintet in Groutville this month. For these performances Mahlangu and Washington will be accompanied by the talented Neil Gonsalves on Keys, Dalisu Ndlazi on bass, and Stanley Matlou on Drums. The renowned saxophone players will visit Luthuli Museum in Groutville on Friday 31 August at 6pm. Entrance for each concert is R30 at the door.

  • Enjoy live music at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre. The Market: Ross Charles from 6pm – 9pm. Eat Street: Rowan Stuart from 6pm – 9pm.

Saturday, September 1

  • Don’t miss the Sage Centre Spring Market from 8am to 4pm. Live, eat and play at this stunning market. Browse products from local vendors while enjoying live music, gin bar, craft beer and much more.

  • Builders Express Ballito (next to the Umhlali Country Club) is hosting a Garden Talk Show at 10am. Guest speaker will be Lindsay Gray, the owner, principal and the tutor at The School of Garden Design. There are lots of giveaway prizes and refreshments. Seats are limited. Sunday, September 2

  • Head down to Holla Trails at Sugar Rush Park for the first Umhlali Prep Fun Run and Cycle Race. The races start at 9.45am sharp and include 1km, 5km, 10km and 20km routes for every ability. R50 entry per person, with all proceeds going towards Umhlali Prep Fundraising. Contact Sam Hill at 082 850 0075 or samanthahill0831@gmail.com.

  • Calling all Shakaskraal and Nkobongo pet owners! Furever Pet Rescue will sterilise, vaccinate, assist and educate pet owners and children in Shakaskraal at Protea Heights on 2 September from 9am – 1pm. If you would like donate de-worming tablets, pet food and treats, pet water and food dishes, clean blankets or money for sterilisations, you can call Ian at 082 903 4941 or drop off at the Aloe Vet at the Ballito Junction Mall.
