Proudly SA laughter at Sibaya

From the honourable members of parliament, the municipality, service delivery, narcissist celebrities, gold diggers to sugar daddies - no one will be spared.

Back by public demand, comedy show Mervyn from Durban will add a dose of laughter to the Heritage weekend at iZulu Theatre Sibaya on September 23 at 8pm.

Comedian and master voice and dance imitator, Mervyn Pillay will tell his story of the funny side of growing up in Durban.

From the honourable members of parliament, the municipality, service delivery, narcissist celebrities, gold diggers to sugar daddies – no one will be spared.

The funny man, who described himself as a “Proudly South African Durbanite of Indian Origin” started his career on the streets of Durban and now has 30 years stage experience under his belt with performances throughout SA.

“As a kid I played outside, there were no electronic gadgets to keep us entertained, we had to entertain ourselves hence the interest in dance and comedy started.

“I am proud of my Durban heritage – this city has shaped me and turned me into who I am today,” said Pillay.

The show is PG13 restricted and tickets start at R100 available from Computicket.
