KwaDukuza mall shopper wins Ford Ranger in lucky draw
Nearly 10 000 shoppers entered the highly anticipated competition.
The excitement was tangible as about 3000 people crammed around the stage at KwaDukuza Mall to see who would drive away with a new Ford Ranger last Saturday.
Nearly 10 000 shoppers entered the highly anticipated competition.
Five finalists’ names were drawn and they were each given an envelope with a Woolworths voucher while one lucky envelope contained the keys to the brand new bakkie.
“I won the bakkie! I won the bakkie,” shouted Alvin Singh of Stanger, who immediately phoned his family to tell them the incredible news.
“I had a good feeling about this competition. I entered a lot of times and I thought this would happen,” said Singh, who works in the sales industry.
Vivian Reddy, developer of the new mall which opened last year, said the white bakkie worth R350 000 he sponsored was the most expensive car to be given away in a mall draw in KZN.
“I always want to be the first to do something special. This mall has been so well received by the residents. This town needs some excitement. At the end of the year, I hope to make one of our shoppers a millionaire by giving away R1 million,” said Reddy.
