1 March

  • Fashion On Ice with Roberto Cavalli Vodka will be the trendiest of event yet for 2019 at Zimbali Wedge from 6pm. Get ready for an evening of fashion, glitz and glamour accompanied by great entertainment from Aston Wiley. Entrance is free with an abundance of fabulous prizes to be won for those who dress simply fabulously.   • – Ballito Gesinskerk (NG Church) will be hosting a Daniël Family Conference on Friday evening and Saturday morning. The theme will be Families at crossroads presented by Braam Grobbelaar from Moreletapark. Entrance is R75 per person. Contact Leonie at 032 946 1198 before 1pm on weekdays for bookings.

2 March – The annual Ricky Braham cricket tournament will start at 8am at Umhlali Primary School. The family day will be filled with face painting, jumping castles and food on sale. Proceeds go to the Quadraplegic Association of South Africa and The Orphan Fund.

2 & 3 March – The Cancer Association of South Africa’s (CANSA) 16th national Shavathon at Ballito Junction outside Dischem from 9am until 5pm. Adults pay R50 and children under 12 years old, R25.

4 March – The Divine Life Society of SA (Tongaat Branch) invites you and your family to their Mahasivaratri Satsang at Sivananda International Cultural Centre, Sivananda Avenue, Desainagar, La Mercy from 6pm to 5am. Contact Reza at 079 608 30 or Ruksha 082 805 4871.

6 March

  •  The Dolphin Coast Conservancy invites you to a night of family fun as Ndlondlo Reptile Centre’s Neville and Helen Wolmarans will bring live specimens to the Eviro Talk at the Pavilion Room at Simbithi Country Club at 6pm. There will be a supervised Bug Hunt (weather permitting) for children, followed by a Show and Tell – all children to bring their own crayons. A cash bar will be available.   • Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club monthly meeting 9.30am at Muddy Boots Nursery (the old Driefontein Garden Centre) to be followed by a talk and floral art demonstration given by Dawn Dowell. Visitors welcome at R25. Contact Pete at 032 946-3935 or Anne at 032 946-1441.

7 March

  • Top up on parenting skills and positive energy at the Augmentative and Alternative Communication workshop featuring Desirae Pillay – author of A Million Beautiful Pieces and winner of the Most Inspiring Blogger Award – will be talking about living your best life, marriage and parenting. The evening starts at 6.30pm at the Pavilion Room, Simbithi Country Club. All proceeds go to Bloom.
