Story time with your favourite children’s books at Ballito Junction

Meet the characters from your favourite books, including Dr Suess, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Smart Kids and Letterland.

Children, gather your reading buddies and get ready for Ballito Junction Exclusive Books’ exciting Children’s Book Month this March.

The annual event celebrates all the lovely children’s stories and highlights books across all genres, according to Exclusive Book’s children’s book manager Colleen Whitfield.

“We hope to encourage children to enjoy reading and we have always had a strong focus on literacy among the youth,” said Whitfield.

“Some wonderful new books to look out for would be the new David Walliams, Fing.

“As well as a new Jeff Kinney called Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid.

“For the younger children, a new Julia Donaldson is on the way called The Go-Away Bird.”

The events will be as follows:

1. Dr Suess

Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!

Enjoy fun activities and story time with Dr Suess characters.

Date: March 16

Time: 10-11am

Ages: Two to six years old

 

2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid

“I’ll be famous one day, but for now I’m stuck in middle school with a bunch of morons.” – Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Meet Greg Heffley who will be ready for selfies with your child.

Date: March 23

Time: 12 – 1pm

Ages: Four to ten years old.

 

3. Smart Kids & Letterland

Clever Cat from Letterland.

Meet and do activities with Clever Cat & Emma and Stinky and remember to stay for story time.

Date: March 30

Time: 10 – 11am

Ages: Five to nine years old.
