March 2019

21 – 24 March – Soak up inspiration and get tips on how to bring the latest trends into your home at Africa’s largest décor, design and lifestyle exhibition – Decorex SA. The exciting show will be held at the Durban Exhibition Centre on Thursday 10am – 6pm, Friday 10am – 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am – 6pm. Tickets cost R95 for adults, R85 for students/pensioners and R20 for children U12.

23 – 30 March – Learn how to make the ultimate goo at the Slime Workshop at Ballito Junction from 11am – 5pm at Level 2, Urban Eatery. No bookings required and entry is free.

27 March – The Wednesday Club, a group devoted to supporting local charities and needy individuals, will hold its 42nd Annual General Meeting at Ballito Library at 9am. New members are welcome. Contact Dorothy at 032 946 2226.

28 March – Ballito Writers club will meet at Salt Rock Country Club 10am-12pm. Author Gerry Murphy will do a workshop on “The Important Elements of a Short Story.” All welcome. Contact Rita 083 259 3158.

30 March – Enjoy delicious food, get inspired by beautiful things and let the kids have a ball at the Little Local Market at Sage Centre from 9am till 1pm.

April 2019

3 April – Umhlali & District Garden & Flower Club monthly meeting 9.30am in Brian and Kari Weaver’s garden – Weaver’s Nest, Old Fort Road, Umhlali. Visitors welcome at R25 per head. Contact Pete at 032 946-3935 or Anne at 032 946-1441.

4 – 7 April – Get ready for live entertainment, family fun, open air movies and crafts at Stanger Primary School’s Easter Fair from 9am till late on Sunday. Contact Ms. C Bux or Ms. Merryl Williamson on 032 552 2894 or email stangerprimary@gmail.com

6 April – Bring a table, chair and gazebo and stock up on crafts, jewels and junk at the Village Market @ Blythedale from 9am to 1pm at 33 Dolphin Crescent. Contact Lisa at 082 336 6238.

9 April – Make your way to the Ballito Library on the second Tuesday of every month for the South African National Blood Service’s blood clinic from 10am to 6pm.

13 April – Pooch Picnic hosted by the Ballito Scouts at Townsend Park from 12pm. Bring your best friend for the pooch parade and doggie adventure obstacle course and stand to win great prizes. Food and drink will be on sale.
