Pooches and picnics in the park for Ballito Scouts
The event saw dogs of all shapes and sizes compete in different categories, including the best dressed, most talented and most interesting pooch.
Floppy ears, wagging tails and even the odd tutu.
Ballito residents enjoyed a colourful day of fun with their four-legged fur friends at the first Ballito Scouts Pooch picnic on Saturday.
The event, which took place at Townsend Park, saw dogs of all shapes and sizes compete in different categories, including the best dressed, most talented and most interesting pooch.

Those who attended enjoyed an impressive demonstration by Forest Hills Dog Club’s Gaby Lyle and Alan Swartz.
Sergeant Odayar from SAP K9 search and rescue team also treated the crowd to a talk and demo, explaining just what his valuable team does.

Scout group leader Kim Tabori said the event was hosted to raise funds for the scout camp that they are planning to host.
“We are hoping to get four large tents – one for boys, girls, men and women,” said Tabori.
“The great food, fun Jolly Jar Tambola, stores and Pooch gifts and biscuits made the day a success.”
