It’s the fair of the year on the North Coast and dates have been announced
Christmas Fair Fund chairlady, Gaby Lyle said this year's event will offer a series of unique, local, small creators and crafters, bakers, designers and jewellers, while accommodating more stall holders.
The North Coast’s biggest charity drawcard, the Christmas Country Fair, will run into the weekend this year to allow more people to attend.
The 69th fair will once again be held at Collisheen Estate, Compensation and will run from November 25 to 27.

Christmas Fair Fund chairlady, Gaby Lyle said this year’s event will offer a series of unique, local, small creators and crafters, bakers, designers and jewellers, while accommodating more stall holders.
“Our theme this year will be centered around community and silver linings,” she said.
They will continue with Covid-19 safety measures, despite not a single case having come from the 2020 event which saw nearly 4 000 people attend over 3 days.
“What makes this year all the more special is that we will be having the final day of the event on a Saturday, which will mean everyone will have the opportunity to attend,” said Lyle, who added that tickets would be sold online.
The Christmas Country Fair serves as a fundraiser for about 28 initiatives, all of which rely heavily on the event and its financial support.
The non-profit organisation was started by a group of farmers’ wives in 1952 to help buy a car for a clinic sister.
The event was so successful that it became an annual event and sees to the needs of community initiatives between the Tugela River and the Tongaat River.
Tickets start from R65, and are available at www.quicket.co.za/events/146961-the-christmas-country-fair-2021/.
