1 October – Musician, James Freedom will entertain at The Market, 5.30-8.30pm.
– Singer and guitarist Sheldon De St Pern will perform at Eat Street, 6-9pm.
2 October – Ballito Gesinskerk (behind the clinic in Leonora Drive) presents a Mini Spring Market, in a monthly initiative to raise funds. Pancake, koeksisters, vetkoek, hamburgers and freshly baked treats. Handcrafts also on sale. Vendors welcome at R100. Live entertainment. Time: 8am to 11am. Contact Leonie at 032 946 1198.
– SA vs NZ on the big screen at The Market, 12.05pm.
– South African singer-songwriter-guitarist Rowan Stuart live at Eat Street, 12.30-3.30pm.
3 October – Jazz band, Quiet Storm live at Eat Street from 1-4pm.
– Classic car show at Ballito Junction, level 6 open parking area from 10am to 3pm. Entrance to the event is free.
6 October – Umhlali & District Garden and Flower Club will meet at All Souls Anglican Church, 9.30am. AGM, monthly meeting, sales table and illustrated talk on WAFA flower show in India. Guests at R40pp. Info: 032 946 3935/032 940 5255.
12 October – Donate blood at the Ballito Library, every second Tuesday of the month from 10am to 6pm.
16 October – Catch the grand finale of the Ballito Junction’s Rising Talent Festival music competition at the level 6 astro turf area, 2-4pm.
29-31 October – Sables Creatures 4th annual Maze of Horrors fundraiser – for those aged 8 and up – at Umhlali Country Club. Food, craft gin, drinks, games, best dressed. Oct 29, 5-9pm | Oct 30, 12-9pm | Oct 31, 10am to 5pm. Contact: 083 997 4667.
30-31 October – The Spootacular 4 fundraiser is a family event that will scare your socks off at Umhlali Country Club also in aid of Sables Creatures. R10 per game. Treasure hunt, jumping castle, treats and popcorn and so much more. Oct 30, midday to 9pm | Oct 31, 10am to 5pm. All ages.
