Ballito Neighbourhood Watch will celebrate 20 years with a neighbourhood potjie competition
Bring your family, deck chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy jumping castles, zorb balls, creatures from Ndlondlo Reptile Park, vintage cars, a real fire truck and of course, 3 delicious potjie options for lunch.
Preventing crimes, catching thieves and helping to keep Ballito safe, the Ballito Neighbourhood Watch (BNW) is celebrating 20 years of successful operation.
In order to ring in their 20 year anniversary, the BNW invites residents to join them for a neighbourhood potjie competition at Townsend Park on November 6.
A day out for the whole family starting at 10am, there are a number of exciting activities for adults and children alike.
Bring your family, deck chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy jumping castles, zorb balls, creatures from Ndlondlo Reptile Park, vintage cars, a real fire truck and of course, 3 delicious potjie options for lunch.
Rice and pap will also be provided, alongside the competition for best potjie in town to be judged by local celebrities.
There are still a few potjie competition places available, which cost R1 000 per entry.
Entry is R50 per person, with children under 12 free of charge.
There will also be hotdogs, candy floss, cakes and other food for the children to enjoy.
In line with the security that BNW helps to provide, local security companies will be there to discuss your home security solutions.
Contact Morne Steffens at 084 632 6694 or Gary Frances at 082 417 0000 for ticket information or if you would like to join the competition.
The BNW has been working to protect our community since 2001, setting up street patrols and the Ballito and Salt Rock ANPR (automated number plate recognition) cameras.
This has fostered a community spirit, where residents look out for each other, preventing the fear and carrying out of crime.
The BNW has been an important extra layer of security for Ballito over the past 20 years, consider joining to ensure its operation into the future.
