#Letter: Exceptional service

"He could have replaced the battery, irrespective. I would have paid the R100 and been none the wiser" - Wendy Illing.

Wendy Illing of Ballito writes:

I recently popped in at Watches Unlimited, Ballito Junction, with a watch that had stopped working, presuming it was the battery.

When I was told that tiny battery would cost R100 to replace, I nearly freaked. But, nevertheless…

The guy took the watch to the back, returned a few moments later to say the battery was fine and just needed to be repositioned and the watch was now working.

And there was no charge.

He could have replaced the battery, irrespective. I would have paid the R100 and been none the wiser.

How wonderful to know that such honesty still exists in business.

I salute you for this and thank you most sincerely. May your business go from strength to strength.
