DJ Black Coffee and DJ Merlon to perform in Ballito this December

The event will showcase local music talent.

Grammy nominee DJ, record producer and songwriter, DJ Black Coffee and DJ Merlon is coming to Ballito to perform live at Sugar Rush Park this December 24, to prove that ‘Africa is not a jungle’.

Speaking at Canelands Beach Club & Spa in Salt Rock today, DJ Black Coffee announced the launch of the ‘Africa is not a Jungle’ concert, in partnership with Enterprise iLembe, this December.

The show is set to feature a number of performances, with the line-up yet to be confirmed. 

The goal of the event at Sugar Rush Park is to showcase local music talent, while working to boost tourism and investment opportunities within the iLembe District.

“We want to show the world that Africa is not a jungle,” DJ Black Coffee said, adding that the country and continent alike have amazing talent which needs to be showcased to the world.

This with the hope of creating similar opportunities to those he had which saw him become world-famous.

“This area,” he said, speaking of Ballito and iLembe’s beauty, “is a place which needs to be shown to the world.”

The concert is set for December 24, with tickets going live on Monday.

These will retail between R300-R1 000 per ticket.

DJ Black Coffee has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category for his latest album, Subconsciously.
