Looking for something fun to do on the North Coast?

From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!

Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.

25 February – Catch Noelin on piano at The Market from 10am to 12.30pm, followed by James Freedom at 6-9pm. The Kickstands perform live at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

26 February – A Cupcakes of Hope walk for childhood cancer to save lives. Bring your kids for a walk at CJ Cogan Park (next to Concha). Registration begins at 8am, and tickets are priced from R10 per pet, R20 per child and R50 per adult. Sponsorship for gifts and company donations welcome. Contact Diana Brett at 082 938 9594.

Ballito Dolphins annual potjie contest at Salt Rock Library parking lot from 8am to 2pm. The contest serves as a fundraiser for the Dolphins. Entry costs R150 per team of 2. Tickets for adults are priced at R20 and children R10. Phone 082 725 4262.

Dave Starke live at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, followed by Jesse Pillay at 6-9pm. Retro Stereo performs live at Eat Street between 12.30-3.30pm.Catch Rowan Stuart live at The Studios, 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Bazaar at Ballito Gesinskerk (behind the clinic in Leonora Drive) from 8am to midday. Vetkoek, pancakes, chicken prego rolls, pudding and lots of freshly baked goodies on the menu. Tea garden, handcrafts, vendors, slippy-slide, jumping castle and lots more. Phone 032 946 1198.

27 February – Monique Baard at The Market from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Jazz band Quiet Storm performs at Eat Street from 1-4pm.

28 February – iLembe Chamber AGM from 11am at the iLembe Chamber offices, The Quarter Centre, Ballito. RSVP: ntombifuthi@ilembechamber.co.za.

2 March – Umhlali & District Garden & Flower Club meeting at 9.30am in the Litchi Orchard. Talk by Bradley Jacob of Driefontein Landscaping on general garden care. Visitors welcome at R40pp. Contact Pete at 032 946 3935 or Anne at 032 940 5255.

5 March – Rise Up Run in conjunction with The Rise Up Movement. Beginning and ending at Concha Cafe, R80 per person. Distance is 5km and the starting time is 7am. Phone 068 024 7568.

6 March – Ballito Gesinskerk is the host for the upcoming Women’s Day of Prayer. Ladies from all congregations are welcome to attend. Must depict the UK, and to contribute to the atmosphere all women are requested to wear red, blue and white, but it is not compulsory. An English High Tea will be served. Phone 083 702 3721.
