Get clued up about events on the North Coast

From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!

Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.

11 March – Catch Rob Warren as he performs at The Market from 6-9pm, with The Kickstands performing at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

12 March – Chuck Bowden and James Freedom will perform at The Market, respectively from 12.30-3.30pm and 6-9pm; Thomson & Thomson live at Eat Street from 12.30-3.30pm, followed by Hale Mary from 6.30-9.30pm.

So-High Methodist Pre-School 50th birthday celebration carnival, 9am-1pm at the school in Umhlali. Entry is R50, which includes 3 games. Enjoy carnival games, jumping castles, cupcake decorating and more.

13 March – North Coast Coffee Club, in conjunction with the KwaDukuza municipality, Zippy Skipps and Dolphin Coast Waste Management, are calling on the community to come together at 7.30am to clear the litter at Tiffany’s Beach, Salt Rock Main beach and Little Maritzburg Road Beach. Winston Smile at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm and internationally acclaimed musician Andrew Young on saxophone at Eat Street from 1-4pm.

26 March – Catch a production of Charlotte’s Web at the Durban Botanic Gardens amphitheater, daily at 2.30pm until April 3. Morning shows on Saturdays at 11am, Sunday, April 3 at 11am. Bring your own picnic baskets. Tickets priced at R150 for adults, and R120 for children under 12 and pensioners. Tickets available at webstickets.co.za.

27 March – The KwaDukuza Resource Centre will host an 8km fun run and 5km fun walk in Stanger. All welcome. Entry is R10 and R20 respectively. Phone 032 551 6251/2.
