What’s happening on the North Coast

From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!

Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.

24 March – Noelin on piano at The Market from 10am to 12.30pm, followed by James Freedom live at Eat Street from 1-3pm and Gavin Ferguson live at The Market from 5.30-8.30pm.

25 March – Steve Graham live at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Jazz band Quiet Storm performing at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

26 March – Umhlali Community Policing Forum invites the public to an annual general meeting during which the new committee will be elected. Held at the Umhlali police station, the meeting is at 2pm. The community are able to vote for the best candidates at the meeting. For more information contact Lieutenant-Colonel Ngwane at 032 947 9900.

 – Charlotte’s Web at the Durban Botanic Gardens amphitheater, daily at 2.30pm until April 3. Morning shows on Saturdays at 11am, Sunday, April 3 at 11am. Bring your own picnic baskets. Tickets priced at R150 for adults, children under 12 and pensioners at R120, tickets available at webstickets.co.za.

 – Hale Mary performs at The Market 12.30-3.30pm, Chuck Bowden live at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm and Rowan Stuart live at The Studios from 10am to midday.

27 March – The KwaDukuza Resource Centre will host a 8km fun run and 5km fun walk. All welcome. Entry is R10 and R20, respectively. Contact 032 551 6251/2.

 – Catch The Kickstands live at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm followed by Afritude from 1-4pm.

30 March – Join the Wednesday Club’s AGM, a charity organisation which raises funds for worthy causes at the Ballito Library, every last Wednesday of the month at 9am. Contact Filippa Heyneke at 082 602 4593.

2 April – Celebration and support of Autism Awareness Day at 2 Elizabeth Street, KwaDukuza (Stanger) from 10am to 3pm. Sponsors welcome. Contact Abidah Shaik at 074 337 0032.

6 April – Umhlali & District Garden & Flower Club meeting at Avo Farm at 9.30am. Meet at Ballito Lifestyle Centre basement parking at 8.45am to share transport. Visitors welcome at R40pp. Contact 032 946 3935/032 940 5255 for more information.
