31 March – Launch of uMongo Msindo, Sounds in Context, exhibition at the Luthuli Museum from midday. Entry is free. Exhibition open daily until 30 April. RSVP at info@isupportdoyou.com.
– Catch Noelin on piano from 10am to 12.30pm, followed directly by The Kickstands until 3.30pm at The Market. Closing act from 5.30-8.30pm is Steve Graham.
1 April – Friday night market at The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock, held every first Friday of the month. Market stalls, live music, gin garden, craft beer and food stations. Free entry, 4-9pm.
– James Freedom performs at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Jesse Pillay entertaining at Eat Street from 1-3pm. Evening entertainment includes The Black Lapels at The Market from 6-9pm, with Hale Mary from 6.30-9.30pm at Eat Street.
2 April – Celebration and support of Autism Awareness Day at 2 Elizabeth Street, KwaDukuza from 10am to 3pm. Sponsors welcome. Contact Abidah Shaik at 074 337 0032.
– Jazz band Quiet Storm performs at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.
3 April – Enjoy music by pianist Keith Austen from 10.30am to 12.30pm, followed by Winston Smile until 3.30pm at The Market.
6 April – Umhlali & District Garden & Flower Club meeting at Avo Farm at 9.30am. Meet at Ballito Lifestyle Centre basement parking at 8.45am to share transport. Visitors welcome at R40pp. Contact 032 946 3935/032 940 5255.
12 April – Visit the Ballito library where the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) staff will assist with your blood donation. SANBS is at the library every second Tuesday of the new month from 10am to 6pm.
15 April – Prime Circle with opening act Kurt Darren will perform at The Odyssey in Ballito from 2pm. Tickets from R200pp, available at iTickets.co.za.
