22 April – Ballito Lions will host a wine show at Umhlali Country Club from 5.30-8.30pm. Wine from Anura, Simonsig, Fairview and Van Loveren and many more to be included. Tickets are R100 per person at the door. Phone 083 564 1495.

23 April – Mandeni Saps AGM at Mandeni Municipal Chamber to elect a community policing forum. AGM begins at 10am.
– Live music at The Market: David Langley 10am – 12pm and Jemma Kate 12.30pm – 3.30pm. At Eat Street, Rene Tshiakanyi at 12.30pm – 3.30pm and The Black Lapels 6.30pm – 9.30pm.
24 April – Live music at The Market: Monique Baard 10.30am – 12.30pm and The Kickstands 12.30pm – 3.30pm. Eat Street: Afritude 1pm – 4pm.

30 April – Ballito Day at Salmon Bay from 8am. This event promises to be a lot of fun for adults and children alike, with treasure hunts, games and even a beach clean-up. Entry is free and there are lots of giveaways, including fuel, coffee and salon vouchers. DJ and MC for the day is Chantelle Cloete.
4 May – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club meets at All Souls Anglican Church at 9.30am. A talk on organic fertilisers and pesticides for more natural gardening. Visitors welcome at R40.00. Contact Pete at 032 946 3935 or Anne at 032 940 5255 for more details.
10 May – Visit the Ballito Library where the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) staff will assist with your blood donation. SANBS is at the library every second Tuesday of the new month from 10am to 6pm.
