13 May – René Tshiakanyi performs at The Market from 6-9pm, with The Black Lapels at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

14 May – ‘Skate Day at The Bowl’ competition at the Ballito skate bowl from 12.30pm. Prizes up for grabs. Competition entry is R50. Contact 083 271 5798 or 073 158 4942 for tickets.

Sables Creatures and Ballito Beach Collective fundraiser event, ‘Gin is my Thing’ at 11am until 4pm at Mozambik

South African singer-songwriter and guitarist, Rowan Stuart live at The Market from 6-9pm.

Ballito Gesinskerk Autumn High Tea, hosted by social worker, motivational speaker and author of ‘Tuinhekkiestories’, Elmarie Booysen. Booysen will entertain and uplift the ladies under the theme ‘Liefde verander harte’. To include a talk by For Women 3D Mammography Centre and the Simunye Development Project. Tickets at R80. 15 May – Tanner Wareham performs at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Quiet Storm bringing jazz to Eat Street from 1-4pm.

19 May – Open mic night returns to The Market every third Thursday of the month. All budding musicians welcome to perform two songs. To participate please mail a short video to marketing@ballitolifestylecentre.co.za.

21 May – Marimba Band competition at Ashton International College Ballito from 9am-1pm, tickets priced at R30 for adults and R15 for pensioners and students. Contact 071 604 7056.

25 May – Join the Wednesday Club, a charity which raises funds for worthy causes, at the Ballito Library, Compensation Beach Road, at 9am. Visitors welcome. Contact 082 602 4593.

27 & 28 May – New dates for the Easter Country Fair under the name After the Storm Country Fair, at Collisheen Estate.
