From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit on your own, the North Coast has it all!

19 May – KwaDukuza Residents Forum hosts ‘The Oscars’ quiz evening at Siggi’s Restaurant, Salt Rock 6-8.30pm. Teams are 4-6 and entry is R50 per team member. Dress code is red carpet. Proceeds go toward the forum’s flood relief efforts.

20 May – The Black Lapels perform at The Market from 6-9pm, with Rene Tshiakanyi on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

21 May – South African singer-songwriter and guitarist, Rowan Stuart performs at The Studios from 10am to midday.

22 May – Catch Afritude in the act on Eat Street from 1-4pm.

27 May – Ladies High Tea with The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund at Waterberry Coffee Shoppe from 7.30am. Speakers: Grace Church pastor, author and motivational speaker Jess Basson, business owner Kgomotso Ndungane and founder and managing director of The Red Movement and Move Africa, Lesego Mpyana. 27 & 28 May – Easter Country Fair under the name “After the Storm Country Fair”, at Collisheen Estate.

28 May – Bazaar at Ballito Gesinskerk (behind the clinic in Leonora Drive) from 8am to midday. Best traditional food, vetkoek, pancake, curry and rice and lovely homemade treats. Vendors welcome. Contact: 032 946 1198 (8am-1pm).

1 June – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club meeting at Paul Shepherd and Gabriel Delport’s farm garden in Upper Tongaat at 9.30am. Own chairs and hats. Visitors at R40. Phone 032 946 3935 | 032 940 5255.

5 June – Colour run fundraiser for Bloom Special Needs School at Holla Trails, Sugar Rush Park. Walk, run or ride 5km. Special 1km free forest walk for toddlers and prams. Costs: R80pp under 12, R120pp over 12, R350 per family of four. First 100 entries on webtickets receives a free Bloom colour run 2022 T-shirt. www.webtickets.co.za. Registration from 8.30am (riders) and 9am (walk/run).

11 June – Sharon Properties launch at Taso’s Bar & Grill. Special performance by Armand Hofmeyr. Proceeds go toward SPCA Durban and Coast. Entry is R100 per person, 7-9pm.

12 June – Ballito Junction Classic Car Show from 10am to 3pm. Entry is free.

14 June – Visit the Ballito Library where South African National Blood Service (SANBS) staff will assist with your blood donation. SANBS is at the library every second Tuesday of the month from 10am-6pm.
