28 May – Bass Crusaders against gender-based violence, powered by CMH Motor City, sound-off, show and shine and dyno event from 9am-8pm. Location: 6 Moffat Drive, Ballito. Contact: 083 884 6724. Funds raised go to the Rise Up Movement.

27-28 May – Easter Country Fair under the name “After the Storm Country Fair”, at Collisheen Estate.
27-29 May – Ballito Bridal Expo at Relax Inn from 2-6pm. Entry is free, cake and food tastings included. Contact 032 525 8107.
28 May – Ballito Gesinskerk bazaar (behind the clinic in Leonora Drive) from 8am-midday. Best traditional food, vetkoek, pancake, curry and rice and lovely homemade treats. Vendors welcome. Contact: 032 946 1198 (8am-1pm).
29 May – Chuck Bowden performs at The Market 12.30-3.30pm, Beat-Route Band at Eat Street from 1-4pm and Jesse Pillay at The Studios from 10.30am-12.30pm.
1 June – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club meeting at Paul Shepherd and Gabriel Delport’s farm garden in Upper Tongaat at 9.30am. Own chairs and hats. Visitors at R40. Phone 032 946 3935 or 032 940 5255.
4 June – Sugar Market at Salt Rock Country Club, 9am-2pm. Stalls, yummy foods, fun activities for the kids and live music.
5 June – Colour run fundraiser for Bloom Special Needs School at Holla Trails, Sugar Rush Park. Walk, run or ride 5km. Special 1km free forest walk for toddlers and prams. Costs: R80pp under 12, R120pp over 12, R350 per family of four. First 100 entries on webtickets receives a free Bloom colour run 2022 T-shirt; webtickets.co.za. Registration from 8.30am (riders) and 9am (walk/run).
11 June – Sharon Properties launch at Taso’s Bar & Grill. Special performance by Armand Hofmeyr. Proceeds go toward SPCA Durban and Coast. Entry is R100 per person, 7-9pm.
12 June – Ballito Junction Classic Car Show, 10am-3pm. Entry is free.
14 June – Visit the Ballito Library where the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) staff will assist with your blood donation. SANBS is at the library every second Tuesday of the month from 10am-6pm.
