Fresh vibes come to The Studios in Ballito with launch of “First Thursdays”
Ballito Lifestyle owner, Bruce Rencken, said The Studios had become a vibey node, with a bespoke mix of unique retail offerings.
The tides are turning at The Gallery in The Studios with the launch of a new exhibition, titled ‘Tidal’ and the start of First Thursdays.
“We witness the miraculous shifting of the tides as they ebb and flow. Sea life is exposed, then submerged all to the rhythm of the moon. This exhibition honours the power of the sea and all it gifts us,” said curator Jane Digby.

“But on top of this, the goal of the exhibition is to raise awareness on the importance of protecting our coastline and ocean. We must be the change we want, now – not tomorrow. It is not too late to protect our precious oceans,” Digby concluded.
Following the successful launch of The Studios at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre last year, First Thursdays will see trading hours extended from 9am to 8.30pm (the art exhibition will open at 6pm).

This week visitors can look forward to wine tasting, sushi, tapas, live entertainment, FitPod showcases and the launch of new store, Pure Collection Home.
“Our aim has been to create an inviting space where people feel comfortable enough to connect, linger and indulge. With First Thursdays, we plan to welcome people to The Studios once a month for a special day of unique offers,” Rencken said.
