#BookReview: Before you visit Kruger

The scope of this book is large, from ecology and poaching to accommodation, activities and the park's history.

First time visitors to Kruger will do well to invest in a copy of the 7th edition of PF Fourie’s book Kruger National Park Questions & Answers.

Fourie was the chief information officer in the park from 1969 to 1977, and his book has stood the test of time with his passion for our country’s flagship national park and hands-on knowledge, making this a real gem.

Using the book on our recent trip to the park, we found it filled with useful information on the park, as well as the animals that live there. This is also an easy reference book to explore with children as you drive.

Personally I would only have liked a more detailed description of the park’s rest camps and picnic spots to complete an otherwise excellent guide book.
