Find out what’s cooking on the North Coast with these events
From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!

Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.
28-30 July – The Pumpkin Theatre at La Montagne Hotel is bringing back the sell-out show, Abba Tribute: Thank you for the Music, a must-see production you don’t want to miss. The sparkly, upbeat side of Abba comes readily to mind, but to ignore their melancholy side is to underestimate them. As the band headed into the 80s, many of their songs became darker in tone and employed increasingly complex lyrics of surprising depth. Relive the moments with tickets priced from only R200 per person. Book now at www.pumpkintheatre.co.za or contact 061 871 1665. Show times are 7.30-10pm (Friday), 7.30-10pm (Saturday) and 2-4.30pm (Sunday).
28 July – Get your party hat on for a charity Wine & Gin Festival at Umhlali Country Club from 5.30pm. Sponsored by Mamma G’s, all proceeds will go to Ballito Lions club. Live music and lots of fun. Tickets at www.quicket.co.za.
– The Kickstands perform at The Market from 6-9pm, with Steve Graham performing at the same time at Eat Street.
29 July – Big screen rugby at The Market from 5.05pm, Springboks vs Argentina.
30 July – Adopt-a-Beach KZN starts in Ballito. Meet the team at 8am at the Foch le Roux parking area just beyond the Ballito Ski Boat Club, and learn how your two-hour involvement in the ‘last Sunday of the month’ beach clean-ups will be educational and benefit the local area. To find out more, visit the Adopt-a-River Facebook page, or phone Mike Gahagan at 083 258 9696.
– The Black Lapels perform at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Afritude performing from 1-4pm at Eat Street.
