Events to keep you entertained on the North Coast
From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!
Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.
11 August – Winston Smile performs at Eat Street from 6-9pm.
12-13 August – Ballito Farmers Market daily every weekend from 7am-2pm, located just off the R102 en route to Oaklands Equestrian Estate. For more information head to ballitofarmersmarket.co.za.
12 August – HannaB performs at The Pumpkin Theatre at La Montagne to raise funds for Nourish the Children, a foundation combatting malnutrition. Tickets priced at R150, available from pumpkintheatre.co.za.
– The Market comes alive with performances by Keith Austin (10am-12pm) and Hale Mary (6-9pm), while Chuck Bowden performs at Eat Street from 6-9pm.
13 August – The Harare Phoenix Choir performs at All Souls Anglican Church, Salt Rock from 3pm. Tickets at R100 per person, available at the church. For more info, call 032 525 4529.
– The Kickstands perform at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm with Afritude performing at Eat Street from 1-4pm.
24 August – Miss Ballito cocktail event at the Pumpkin Theatre, La Montagne Hotel from 5.30pm. Meet the eight finalists. Tickets priced at R250 includes snacks. Dress code is ‘cocktail’. Contact missballito.rotaryzimbali@gmail.com.
26-27 August – Mighty Men Conference with Angus Buchan at Sugar Rush Park, Ballito. Saturday starts with praise and worship from 6pm, while a service will be held on Sunday from 9am. Call 083 253 5100 or 083 500 1319 for more information. Camping is free.
27 August – The Vintage Barn at Collisheen Estate hosts a spring car boot sale, 8.30am to 12.30pm. Sellers welcome at R120 per boot. For more info, call 032 004 0083.
