From activities fit for the whole family to those you can hit up on your own, the North Coast has it all!
Whether you find live concerts or joining a local community organisation more to your fancy is completely up to you, but rest assured that with The North Coast Courier’s What’s Up On the North Coast events diary your chances of missing an event are pretty much zero.
15-16 September – The Pumpkin Theatre presents Pumpkin Sokkie Night. Dress up and win. Entry is free, doors open from 6.30pm. More information at 066 338 8336.
– Umhlali Methodist Church Paint for Joy event, featuring local artist Odette Powell who will show attendees how to paint. Children 12 years and older welcome. Refreshments and snacks provided. Entry is R300 – 10am-12.30pm. For more info contact June Haskell at 083 628 7707.
– Hale Mary perform at The Market, with Winston Smile performing at Eat Street, both between 6-9pm.
16 September – Ballito Skate Day at Ballito Skate Bowl, 119 Hilary Drive from 10.30am. Prizes, music and good vibes. For more info, visit the Ballito Skate Park Facebook page.
– Qadasi and Maqhinga perform at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, with Afritude performing at Eat Street from 6-9pm.
– 2023 International beach clean-up with uVemvane Tugela Honorary Officers at Zinkwazi and Blythedale beaches from 8.30-11am. Bring own sunscreen and water. Glove and bags will be provided. For more info contact Liesl Venter at 082 805 6131.

17 September – Rugby World Cup live on the big screen at The Market and Eat Street, kick-off at 3pm.
18 September – Probus club meeting at the Simbithi Club (12 noon) with well-known professional photographer and author Hugh Bland as guest speaker, followed by lunch at the Figtree Restaurant. Friends and family welcome. For more information, call Ken Lever at 082 657 0094.
23 September – Ballito Big Braai in support of The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund and Round Table Ballito 221 at Sugar Rush Park from 11am to 7pm. Braai stands, food vendors, kids play area, live music, beer garden, raffle prizes and much more. More information at www.ballitobigbraai.co.za.
24 September – Adopt-a-Beach Ballito holds its third outing at the Foch le Roux parking area (Zimbali Long Beach). Learn how your two-hour involvement in the last Sunday of the month beach clean-up will benefit the local area. 30 September – Ballito Cupcakes of Hope comes to Tiffany’s Shopping Centre, 7am-1pm. Bakers welcome. Baked and iced cakes need to be delivered by September 24. Contact Tamara at 083 290 8509 for more details.
