26 November – Meet the Adopt-a-Beach Ballito team at 8am at Foch Le Roux parking area, and learn how your two-hour community involvement in the last Sunday of the month beach clean-up will be educational and benefit the local area. Contact Mike Gahagan at 083 258 9696.

The Kickstands perform at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm.

2 December – Christmas Bazaar at Ballito Gesinskerk (behind the clinic in Leonora Drive, Ballito) from 8am to midday. Delicious food and a lovely tea garden to relax in. Free slip-and-slide activities for kids. Christmas-themed photobooth and a variety of Christmas decorations, jewellery, pottery, clothes and more. Contact 032 946 1198.

6 December – Umhlali and District Garden and Flower Club meets at All Souls Anglican Church at 9.30am. A talk will be held by The Gardener’s Tanya Visser. Visitors welcome at R100. Contact 083 357 1651 or 032 940 5255.

7 December – January 15 Kickstart Theatre’s Christmas pantomime is Aladdin at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre. Tickets vary from R150-R265, at Webtickets.

8 December – January 3 – Durban Botanic Garden Trail of Lights. Tickets R70-R90 at Webtickets.
