Sheffield shacks torn down

On Sunday, February 10, Courier journalist Erica Abrahams and videographer Mary-Ann Palmer documented the demolishing of more than 50 illegal shacks on KwaDukuza municipal-owned land in the quiet suburb of Sheffield. The area has recently been hit with a spate of land grabs and invaders who ignored warnings to move, watched as their homes were turned to rubble before their eyes.
