Pedestrian killed in M4 accident

Traffic has been severely affected in the north between Glenashley and as far back as Suncoast.

A MAN believed to be in his 20s has been killed after he was struck by a vehicle on the M4 just after 3pm on Friday. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred just before the Glenashley off-ramp.

“The exact details of the accident are unknown at this stage. Paramedics declared the man dead on arrival due to his extensive injuries. Traffic has been severely affected on the M4 going north and is backed up all the way to Blue Lagoon,” he said.

Van Reenen urged motorists to find alternate routes.
